Chapter 6: Plumbing Elements and Facilities Bathing Rooms
Bathroom with Transfer Shower Compartment and Bathtub
Only one bathtub or shower compartment is required to comply in a bathing facility. If a
bathroom has a separate bathtub and shower compartment, providing access to both is
advisable for greater access but not required. In this configuration, providing the required
clearance at the transfer shower does not impact the size of the room. Transfer shower
compartments must have a seat.
